OMI is a transport-focused industrial design studio specialising in the future of transport. Based in London, we partner with industry leaders worldwide to shape original, sustainable, and human-centred design that redefine how we move. Our work spans micro-mobility, transport interiors, electric vehicles, and spacecraft – each crafted with a detailed focus on practicality and foresight.
Founders Daniel Window and Isabella Trani bring over 25 years of combined experience in transport design. Previously Creative Director at PriestmanGoode, Dan’s influential portfolio includes TFL’s New Tube and the Hyperloop, with his work having been featured at the London Design Museum. Isabella’s expertise complements this with a focus on intuitive, user-centred design that reimagines the passenger experience.
Core Values
OMI operates as a compact, independent studio, giving us the agility and dedication of a small team with the creative power of a larger agency. Our approach is grounded in originality and precision, providing truly tailored, distinctive design that is both imaginative and functional.
01.
Credible imagination
We imagine boldly, but only where ideas can survive engineering, regulation, and reality.
02.
Clarity through complexity
We reduce complex systems into clear, coherent visions that align teams.
03.
Collaborative by default
We work closely with engineering, marketing, and leadership teams — as peers.
04.
Small by design
We remain a focused, high-calibre team where impact matters more than scale.
05.
Direction-setters
We work where design has the highest leverage — before decisions are locked.
06.
Low cost, High impact
We help organisations make the right transport design decisions early.
Our Approach
00:00:00:00
01
Collaborative
Our design approach starts by going wide — we often build dozens of directions for you to test. Then we converge on a solution and dive deep. Sweating every detail. Removing what's weak to make room for what matters. Building our ideas isn't a step after the design process. It is our design process.
02
CAD from ground up
We don't decorate after the fact. Every surface, joint, and radius is born in CAD — engineered for manufacturing reality from the first sketch. Precision isn't a polish pass. It's how we think.
03
Build real things
Prototypes aren't proofs of concept. They're the work. We cut, assemble, and test until the idea stops being an idea and starts being a product you can hold, ride, or fly.

How organisations have trusted us to help shape what’s next
OMI brought a clarity and ambition to our capsule design that transformed how we think about the passenger experience at the edge of space.
