Shaping the exterior, cabin and cockpit of a commercial eVTOL aircraft
We have been collaborating with Vertical Aerospace in the development of their commercial eVTOL aircraft. We support the team on the design of the aircraft, looking at the exterior profile, cabin and cockpit. We also bring the vision of the VX4 and technical components to life through visualisation.
Part of our design support has included the vision for the cockpit of the commercial aircraft. We supported Vertical Aerospace in a pilot workshop to get feedback and insights into the design of the space to improve ergonomics and usability. We created a VR experience for the pilots to experience this new space.
OMI was responsible for delivering the animations for the Meet the VX4 page on the Vertical Aerospace website. Airlines across the globe have partnered with Vertical Aerospace, ordering the eVTOL aircraft. We help the Vertical team in creating liveries and visuals for these partners.
A collection of iconic renders of the VX4 aircraft were created for the company when they launched on the New York Stock Exchange.
